Det hettar till kring Lula i Brasilien. Det blir alltmer uppenbart att hela processen mot honom genomfördes på ett mycket märkligt sätt. De som satte dit honom blir alltmer nervösa, de riskerar att förlora om målet hamnar i högsta domstolen STF. Det senaste är att de försökt få Lula att acceptera att förflyttas till en mer öppen regim, halvöppen eller fotboja. Han accepterar inte, jag går bara ut om jag förklarats oskyldig.
Nu får vi chansen att förstå vad som hänt. I Stockholm får vi besök av domaren och doktorn i rättsvetenskap Ruben Casara. Han har mycket hårt kritiserat utvecklingen i Brasilien på senare tid i riktning mot en auktoritär stat. Han har skrivit två böcker i ämnet och befinner sig nu landsflyktig i Paris efter att gång på gång ha hotats.
Du möter honom torsdagen den 10 oktober på ABF i Stockholm klockan 18, prel Per Albinsalen, om vi inte blir väldigt många.

Jag upprepar hotet mot MST:s centrum för utbildning i Pernambuco. INCRA, som skulle genomföra jordreformen men numera motverkar den, har hittat ett tekniskt fel när centret startades. Det skedde en överenskommelse med den gamla progressiva ledningen men sedan Bolsonaro utnämnt en ny ledning gör de allt för att försvåra för MST. 1500 personer har byggt ett läger för att försvara centret och vänsterguvernören i Pernambuco har sagt att han inte vill använda våld. Men läget är spänt.

RESCINDO A ORDEM DE DESPESAS DO CENTRO DE FORMAÇÃO DE PAULO FREIRE
Chegou ao nosso conhecimento que foi emitido um aviso de ação de reintegração de posse para o Centro de Treinamento Paulo Freire no Assentamento Normandia, na cidade de Carauru, PE. Dada a história e a importância do Centro, isto é motivo de grande preocupação até internacionalmente. Por esse motivo, estamos entrando em contato com você para exigir uma reconsideração dessa decisão. O Centro de Treinamento Paulo Freire foi criado em 1998 sob os auspícios do INCRA e, durante todos esses anos, seguiu as diretrizes estabelecidas pelo INCRA. Sob orientação do INCRA, o terreno para o centro de treinamento foi doado pelo Assentamento Normandia para uso coletivo no treinamento de moradores de Pernambuco e tem sido utilizado desde então para esses fins.
Investimentos e mão-de-obra substanciais foram feitos no desenvolvimento do centro de treinamento, incluindo a construção de um auditório, dormitórios, salas de aula, centro de telecomunicações, centro juvenil, centro esportivo, creche, cozinha e refeitório.
O Centro de Treinamento Paulo Freire agora atende não apenas a Pernambuco, mas todo o nordeste do Brasil, oferecendo cursos de agroecologia e, em conjunto com várias universidades, aulas de geografia, treinamento veterinário, educação, segurança e saúde ambiental, educação em saúde e muitos outros cursos. O centro é sem dúvida um recurso valioso para toda a região e seu fechamento seria uma perda terrível para todos os que valorizam a educação e o desenvolvimento das pessoas do campo. Além disso, várias delegações internacionais visitaram ao Centro e pessoas de diversos países participaram de cursos de treinamento ministrados pelo Centro.
Consideramos a ação proposta em relação ao Centro de Treinamento Paulo Freire uma injustiça e uma afronta a todos aqueles que trabalharam para construir uma vida melhor para o povo do Nordeste. Não há base em um sistema de justiça que permita que esse despejo ocorra.
Portanto, exigimos respeitosamente que a ordem de despejo seja rescindida imediatamente.

It has come to our attention, the notice of action of repossession for the Paulo Freire Training Center in the Normandia Settlement in the city of Carauru, PE. Given the history and importance of the Center, this is of deep concern, even internationally. For this reason, we are contacting you to demand a reconsideration of this decision. The Paulo Freire Training Center was established in 1998 under the auspices of INCRA and has through all of these years followed the guidelines established by INCRA. Under the advice of INCRA, the land for the training center was donated by the Normandia Settlement to be used collectively for training of residents of Pernambuco and has been used since then for these purposes.
Substantial funds and labor have been invested in developing the training center, including the construction of an auditorium, dormitories, classrooms, telecommunications center, youth center, sports center, daycare facilities, a kitchen and cafeteria.
The Paulo Freire Training Center now serves not only Pernambuco, but the entire northeast of Brazil providing courses in agro-ecology and, in conjunction with various universities, classes in geography, veterinarian training, education, environmental health and safety, health education and many other courses. The center is unquestionably a valuable resource for the entire region and its closure would be a terrible loss for everyone who values education and the development of people of the countryside. Several international delegations have visited the Center, and people from many different countries have participated in training courses provided by the Center.
We consider the proposed action with regard to the Paulo Freire Training Center an injustice and an affront to all those who have labored to build a better life for the people of the Northeast. There is no basis in a system of justice that would allow this eviction to occur.
We, therefore, respectfully demand that the eviction order be rescinded immediately.
